Music Subscription and Identity org acts as the backbone of Amazon Music by powering the identity, subscription, and payments systems that underpin growth, retention, and profitability. We undertake Amazon-wide initiatives which are foundational to Music's long-term growth. Identity org will unify customer identity across Amazon, reshaping how customers and households share content and benefits. For Music, this ensures seamless access across Alexa, Prime, and AMU, and will deliver child and teen profiles that are compliant, safe, and trusted.
Subscription org will support Music's launch in new countries, expand acquisition funnels, improve payment parity, and build efficient purchase flows. We will deepen our lifecycle strategy, ensuring customers find value from their first play through the last mile. Personalization will improve early‑use stickiness, cancellation flows will evolve into benefit‑rich retention moments, and payments will become more resilient to prevent involuntary churn.
We are seeking an experienced Principal Technical Program Manager to lead complex, cross‑functional initiatives that drive significant business impact. This role requires a strategic leader who can navigate ambiguity, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver results at scale across multiple organizations. You will be trusted to operate with complete independence and are often assigned to focus on areas where the business and/or architectural strategy has not yet been defined.
You effectively partner with all levels of leadership, build consensus, communicate complex decisions and technical trade‑offs clearly to leaders up to three levels above, influence organization priorities, and manage cross‑functional communication. You recognize potential technology failure patterns, steer teams to avoid repeating failures, and seek additional technical guidance when needed. You demonstrate excellent judgment in executive‑level escalations and deliver solutions that meet Amazon's high standards for customer satisfaction, efficiency, stability, extensibility, simplicity, and operational excellence.
