Theatrical Marketing Manager, Amazon MGM Studios

Amazon MGM Studios is seeking a dynamic Marketing Manager to design and implement innovative marketing campaigns for our theatrical releases for Mexico. Reporting to the Head of Theatrical Marketing (Mexico), this role combines analytical prowess with creative vision to develop strategies that drive audience engagement and box office performance.

You will join a team redefining theatrical marketing, bringing major film releases to audiences through strategic collaboration while adapting to evolving audience expectations and media consumption trends.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Strategy & Planning:
    • Lead strategic planning and execution across multiple high‑profile theatrical releases.
    • Develop territory‑wide marketing strategies and long‑term activation roadmaps, aligned with global objectives.
    • Manage and optimise marketing budgets for assigned titles.
    • Analyse market trends and audience insights to refine campaign positioning.
    • Establish and monitor campaign KPIs and success metrics in collaboration with senior leadership.
    • Drive innovation in audience engagement strategies and emerging technologies.
  • Creative Execution:
    • Lead creative direction across all marketing assets and brand touchpoints.
    • Oversee localisation of marketing materials and coordinate with international teams to optimise and customise for the local market.
    • Maintain brand consistency while ensuring maximum creative impact.
    • Direct and manage relationships with external creative collaborators.
  • Media & Collaborations:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive strategic media plans spanning traditional, digital and emerging platforms for assigned films.
    • Collaborate with media agencies on campaign optimisation.
    • Foster strategic brand, media and co‑promotional collaborations.
    • Align with International Media lead on best practices.
  • Experiential Marketing & Events:
    • Spearhead special projects and events to drive awareness.
    • Manage external agencies and stakeholders in campaign execution.
  • Cross‑Functional Leadership:
    • Coordinate with Content Manager and other stakeholders including distribution, PR, digital, and international teams.
    • Ensure optimal theatrical visibility through distribution channels.
    • Provide creative leadership and inspire innovative solutions.
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional marketing experience within the theatrical, film, or entertainment industry.
  • Demonstrated success building and executing multiple, simultaneous marketing campaigns across paid and organic channels.
  • Experience using data and metrics to evaluate campaign performance and optimise marketing effectiveness.
  • Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams including creative, PR, and regional stakeholders to deliver integrated marketing programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of the local entertainment landscape, audience behaviour, and cultural trends relevant to the market.
  • Experience communicating marketing plans and results to internal stakeholders and leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in multi‑territory campaign management.
  • Experience in digital marketing and content production timelines and processes.
