Registered Veterinary Technician – ER/Specialty

Total Bonus Opportunity for Registered Veterinary Technicians: $10,000!

  • $5,000 Sign‑On Bonus
  • $2,500 Retention Bonus at 12 months
  • $2,500 Retention Bonus at 24 months (subject to eligibility and bonus agreement terms)

Located in Culver City, ACCESS LA is a referral hospital with 24‑hour emergency services. Our technicians encounter all types of cases when working closely with some of the most qualified doctors in the country. We have numerous specialty departments, so a tech’s day might involve a macaw with a broken beak, advanced operating rooms, orthopedic surgeries, or an MRI. Role Responsibilities
  • Support veterinarians to ensure quality care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
  • Assist the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
  • Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and other treatments.
  • Maintain comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
  • Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
  • Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and keep treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs clean, sterile, and organized.
  • Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
Experience & Skills Requirements
  • RVT license required.
  • Understanding of anesthesia protocols, including pre‑anesthetic assessments, drug dosages, and post‑anesthesia care.
  • Proficiency in monitoring equipment, administering anesthesia, and responding to anesthesia‑related emergencies.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring precise dosages, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining detailed patient records.
  • Desire to provide superior patient care.

Compensation

Licensed Technicians: $26/hr – $42/hr

VTS: $43/hr – $45/hr

Pay will be determined by experience and skills.
