THE OPPORTUNITYSilvus is seeking a Quality Control Inspector‑I who will report to the Quality Control Inspection Supervisor on the OQC team. Primary responsibilities will include conducting thorough inspections, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring proper procedures are followed for incoming electronic and mechanical parts and during the manufacturing and testing process. This role is also responsible for investigating any quality issues, anomalies, or failures and will work alongside engineering and suppliers to recommend any necessary changes or improvements.
Position is fully onsite, Monday through Friday, based at Silvus Technologies’ Culver City warehouse location.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform and document inspections of products and processes, including electronic cables, GPS devices, Wi‑Fi dongles, connectors, mechanical enclosures, shields, and other critical components.
- Conduct inspections tied to receiving raw materials, parts, components, and fit checks as necessary.
- Inspect First Article components and subassemblies.
- Prepare in‑process inspection reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Maintain quality documentation.
- Identify the serviceability of parts and components and appropriate tooling.
- Perform other related duties as representative of the role.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, or similar software.
- Ability to follow written instructions and maintain accurate records.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
- All employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug test.
- IPC‑J‑STD‑001, IPC‑A‑610, and/or IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 certification (current or previously held) is highly preferred. Familiarity with electronic assemblies, PCBs, cable assemblies, and electro‑mechanical systems is a plus.
