Home State is a Texas Kitchen in California sharing breakfast tacos, queso, brisket, house‑made flour tortillas and genuine hospitality. In 2013, Briana “Breezy” Valdez founded Home State in Los Angeles with the dream of sharing her Texas identity through food and hospitality.

Kitchen Team Member (Dishwasher)

Kitchen Team Members report to the Kitchen Manager or Assistant General Manager and embrace the vision which includes nurturing our communities within our four walls and in our surrounding community. A successful Kitchen Team Member provides our guests with an exceptional experience by implementing Home State’s standards of service, product quality and cleanliness. Every member of our team strives to create an environment where everyone is treated with respect and dignity.

Base rate per hour projected to be $18.15.

With tip share it is reasonable to expect to earn $22-$25 per hour.

• Guest Focus:
  Reenforce guest trust by complying with sanitation standards, portion sizes, recipes, builds, cooking/cooling methods, packaging, kitchen policies. Assist with receiving and storage of all incoming orders to ensure proper temperature control.
• Action Oriented:
  Take on new opportunities and challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy and enthusiasm. Manage time efficiently by taking initiative and working with a sense of urgency to fulfill job duties and checklists, find opportunities to complete other tasks assigned by the leader of the shift. Take action to ensure leadership is aware of any equipment, product or safety concerns.

  Rebound from setbacks when faced with difficult situations. Calmly identify and troubleshoot issues that occur during the shift to ensure efficient operations. Constantly communicate with honesty, integrity and transparency.

• Follow all Home State standards, sanitation guidelines, policies or procedures to ensure that you are serving guests the highest quality, delivering caring hospitality, and that you are embodying the Home State mission and core values.
• Maintain regular, predictable attendance, which includes attendance at all scheduled shifts, training and meetings.

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans and/or utensils, by operating a dish machine or washing by hand in a three compartment sink. Monitor dishwasher water temperature and approved dish chemicals to ensure sanitary wash cycle. Ensure proper…
