Position Summary
Amazon Music Community and Fandom is looking for an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer for our team in the San Francisco office. As a Software Engineer, you will work both independently and alongside teams in Music, Amazon, and third‑party to architect and develop large‑scale solutions that will delight our customers through voice and visual experiences. You’ll also coach other engineers, develop engineering and operational processes, and encourage excellence within the team.

We seek new team members who are passionate about experimenting and innovating for customers, have a demonstrable track record of success in delivering new features and products, and are excited about having end‑to‑end ownership of high‑impact, high‑visibility projects. We build systems that are distributed on a large scale, spanning music apps, web player, voice‑forward audio engagement on mobile and Amazon Echo devices, powered by Alexa to support our customer base.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
- 3+ years of iOS development experience
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
