LocationCulver City, CA (Hybrid – Los Angeles Area, 3-4 in-office days per week)
Compensation$110,000 – $150,000 annually

AboutThe Role
Junior to Mid-Level AI / LLM Systems Engineer to help build and expand foundational AI systems, including reusable, trainable LLM-based systems for intelligent agents across multiple environments.
Work with senior engineers on AI architectures, training workflows, and integration into real-time applications. Opportunity for growth while contributing to a long-term AI platform vision.
Responsibilities- Design and implement AI systems using large language models for reasoning, decision-making, and agent behaviors
- Develop training, evaluation, and feedback workflows for AI agents and LLM-powered systems
- Build tools for testing, benchmarking, and monitoring AI performance
- Implement memory, context management, and world-state representation systems
- Develop validation and safety mechanisms for AI output reliability
- Integrate AI systems into real-time applications and interactive environments
- Experiment with agent frameworks, retrieval systems, and AI workflows
- Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and architecture planning
- Document systems, workflows, and technical decisions
- 2-5 years professional experience in software engineering, machine learning, or AI development
- Experience with large language models via APIs, open-source models, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, RAG systems, or agent frameworks
- Strong Python programming skills
- Familiarity with ML concepts, model evaluation, and AI development workflows
- Experience building, integrating, or deploying software systems in production
- Understanding of software engineering best practices (testing, version control, documentation)
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast‑paced, startup-like environment
- Experience with agent frameworks (Lang Chain, Lang Graph, CrewAI, Auto Gen, etc.)
- Exposure to reinforcement learning, simulation environments, or agent training
- Experience with vector databases, retrieval systems, and embedding models
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- AI integration into games, simulations, or interactive applications
- Knowledge of C++, C#, Unreal Engine, or Unity
- Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects
$110,000 – $150,000 annually
