About this role

As a Software Development Engineer, you will research, define, design, and refine the technology that keeps us ahead of listeners. You will work closely with the team, review work, mentor, and support others to develop and maintain our platform.

• Design, develop, and test software components and applications for the audio books platform.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to imagine, design, develop, test, and launch software that impacts our customers.
• Use broad data structures and algorithms, selecting appropriate solutions.
• Clarify technical requirements independently, estimating development effort, and applying design approaches.
• Review code of other team members and provide constructive direction.
• Mentor and lead developers by cultivating curiosity and deep technical understanding.

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture experience, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• Experience with Machine Learning and Large Language Model fundamentals, including architecture, training/inference life cycles, and optimization of model execution, or experience building complex software systems successfully delivered to customers.
