- Develops and interprets electrical wiring diagrams
- Follows established standards for drawings and component selections
- Uses hand tools and a multimeter to safely work in electrical panels
- Energizes electrical systems and configures hardware per application specifications
- Works with the Engineering Group to provide input and define project scope as required
- Maintains professional quality of work during project design and implementation
- Strong understanding of basic electric/electronic principles
- Creates electrical project bill of materials
- Demonstrated capability in design/drafting tools AutoCAD and/or Solid Works
- Proficient in programming logic controllers (PLC) (e.g. Allen‑Bradley, Modicon, Siemens, Schneider)
- Proven skills in configuring and designing HMI systems (e.g. Factory Talk, ESA, Magelis)
- Proficient in configuring and installing inverter drives (Powerflex, Schneider)
- Understands internal customer requirements for communication interface and networking and creates specifications based on these requirements
- Experience with maneuvering multi‑axis robots; preferably Fanuc, ABB
- Designs, develops, and programs PLC code for given requirements and specifications
- Reviews, repairs, and upgrades legacy code to current standards
- Troubleshoots issues with existing company‑installed control systems
- Documents and communicates new functionality of company‑developed equipment
- Strong foundation in PLC Ethernet networking fundamentals
- Extensive understanding of PLC ladder/Boolean logic

Qualifications SkillsEducation,
Experience and Skills:
- A high school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of manufacturing or assembly experience is preferred.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business documents such as pallet tickets, manufacturing schedules, or job orders. Ability to listen and communicate effectively with co‑workers and customers/clients in an effort to respond to common inquiries or complaints.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to apply basic mathematical concepts like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to tasks such as inventory control, production tracking, material ordering, and job order verification.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret assorted tasks or instructions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, kneel, bend, twist, and walk. The employee frequently uses hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to speak and communicate with other employees, be able to hear well enough to recognize warning signals, forklifts, and announcements. Employee must be able to see different characteristics in wood products.
The employee is frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds.
Indoor manufacturing environment. The noise level is usually moderate to high and hearing protection may be required. Safety glasses are required. Work gloves and protective skin sleeves are recommended. Occasional overtime and weekend work required.
