Registered Nurse CI

GRADE: 20

LOCATION OF POSITION: 10102 Country Club Rd, Cumberland, MD 21502 (Located 2 1/2 hrs. West of Baltimore)

A Registered Nurse, CI will provide general nursing, including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of care for approximately 24 mentally ill patients during a single shift. The RN gives guidance to licensed practical nurses and direct care staff and may be assigned to any shift or unit to provide necessary coverage. All work is performed in accordance with established policy, procedures, and professional practices.

The RN CI is responsible for an advanced level of care, consistently applying experience, education, judgment, and technical skill. Responsibilities include the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of patient care for a designated work area during a shift. The RN uses the Recovery Model and Trauma‑Informed Care principles when interacting with and caring for patients/residents.

Education:

Determined by the Maryland State Board of Nursing under the licensing requirements for Registered Nurses.

Experience:

None.

• Experience with psychiatric patients/residents.
• Experience with in a hospital setting.

• Current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing or a current multi‑state license in declared primary states of residence.
• Valid Maryland motor vehicle operator’s license if duties require operating a motor vehicle.
• Successful completion and maintenance of current cardiopulmonary resuscitation training certification.

• Eligibility for call‑in; must provide a reachable phone number.
• Subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations 17.04.09.
