Location of Position: MDH, Allegany County Health Department, Cumberland, MD

This position will provide full‑performance‑level nursing care to persons served at the Joseph S. Massie Unit, a residential substance abuse disorder treatment program. This position is primarily for the second and third shifts.

• Education:
  
  Determined by the Maryland Board of Nursing under the licensing requirements for Practical Nurses.
• Experience:
  
  One year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in nursing classifications or nursing or health care specialist specialty codes in the nursing field of work on a year‑for‑year basis for the required experience.

• Must possess a current Practical Nurse license from the Maryland Board of Nursing.
• May be assigned duties requiring operation of a motor vehicle; therefore must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license in the state of Maryland.
• Must successfully complete and maintain current certification of cardiopulmonary resuscitation training.

• Subject to call‑in; must provide the facility with a telephone number where they can be reached.
• Subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations 17.04.09, Testing for Illegal Use of Drugs.
