Position OverviewYou will join our team as a Part‑Time Veterinarian at Cumberland Animal Clinic
. This role offers predictable hours, a consistent home hospital assignment, and the flexibility to balance family commitments or personal interests while remaining clinically engaged.
- Signing and retention incentives up to $50,000

- Comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups
- Client communication and education
- Performing diagnostic procedures and surgery
- Maintaining accurate medical records
- Pharmacy duties: prescribing medications and following controlled substance protocols
- Promoting teamwork and staff efficiency
- Working with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations
- Evaluating and monitoring protocols for daily hospital operations from intake to discharge
- Monitoring cases and attending daily rounds to uphold high standards
- Participating in practice management updates and training at all levels
- Performing other duties as assigned by Management
- Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited institution
- Current state veterinary license
- DEA registration
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a veterinary practice
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
- Excellent surgical and dental skills
- Ability to work well in a team‑oriented environment
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to providing compassionate, high‑quality veterinary care
- Effective communication with medical, hospital staff, and clients
- Capability to manage moderate physical demands, including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge in cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological, and other examinations
- Problem‑solving skills for high‑quality hospital management challenges
- Strong communication of diagnostic and therapeutic options to clients and staff
- Professionalism and constructive feedback within a veterinary team
- Business acumen related to veterinary practice finances
- Ethical decision‑making in patient care
- Commitment to continuing education and peer learning
