Security Officer (Unarmed)
Location:
Cumberland, MD
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Schedule:
Saturday & Sunday | On call Weekdays
* 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
We are currently seeking professional, reliable, and detail-oriented Security Officers to join our team at a well-maintained, highly regulated commercial facility in Cumberland, Maryland. This position is ideal for individuals who are customer-focused and comfortable working in a structured, compliance-driven environment, with the ability to start ASAP.
REQUIREMENT - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
* An ACTIVE/CURRENT Maryland Guard Card is REQUIRED
* Applicants MUST possess and maintain a valid MD Guard Card
* Candidates without a current guard card will NOT be considered
Available
Shifts:
Full-Time (Monday-Friday):
* 1st
Shift: 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM
* 2nd
Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Part-Time (Saturday & Sunday):
* 1st
Shift: 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM
* 2nd
Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors, and assets
* Monitor premises through patrols and surveillance systems
* Control access points and verify credentials as required
* Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies
* Prepare accurate daily activity and incident reports
* Provide professional customer service while enforcing site policies
* Operate and navigate security-related technology and systems
Qualifications:
* Active Maryland Guard Card (REQUIRED)
* Prior security experience highly preferred
* Experience working in a regulated or compliance-driven environment is a plus
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Professional demeanor and appearance
* CPR / First Aid certification preferred
* Must be tech-savvy and able to learn new systems quickly
* Valid driver's license preferred
* Reliable transportation required
* Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
