Are you looking for a new career? Here is a great opportunity to work with an outstanding company! American Efficiency Services () is looking for an entry level technician to perform testing and maintenance at power plants worldwide.

This position requires the ability to perform physical work and travel extensively. American Efficiency Services (AES) will train and provide all uniforms, tools, and safety equipment. Must have a have high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and be able to pass a background check (no felonies) and pre-employment and random drug testing.

This is a part-time position and the starting salary range is $15 to $25 per hour based upon relevant experience. Opportunity for full-time employment and advancement to managerial positions for hard working employees.

Summary:

The Technician is responsible for performing a multitude of tasks relating to the testing, inspection, cleaning, and repair of customer systems (condensers, heat exchangers, generators, turbines, etc.) under direct supervision. Responsibilities include the safe operation of specialized equipment provided by the company.

Responsibilities:
  • Must have exceptional work ethic: dependability, promptness, and reliability are a must.
  • Must be an organized individual who consistently demonstrates a neat and organized work methodology.
  • Take pride in the work product, re-building of equipment, etc.
  • Maintain valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
  • Basic knowledge of general hand tools and small equipment (drills, and ability to operate tube cleaning, eddy current, and vacuum equipment).
  • Demonstrate strong mechanical competency: welding experience a plus.
  • Ensure that assigned tasks are performed safely with the highest level of quality.
  • Effectively communicate with Front Line Supervisors on areas such as safety, quality, and integrity.
  • Follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Properly prepares equipment and worksite daily.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Clean, pre-wash mechanical parts.
  • Update job knowledge / continuous improvement by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications, etc.
  • Capable of:
  • understanding engineering drawings and associated bills of material
  • bending and routing stainless steel tube lines primarily using, but not limited to, compression fittings, pipe threaded fittings and cone and threaded fittings
  • threading and bending carbon and stainless-steel pipe (Schedule 40, 80, 160)
  • running electrical conduit
Skills/

Qualifications:
  • Motivated energy level, dependability, independent worker, problem solver, self-starter, heavy lifting
  • Tools, equipment, machinery used: large industrial cleaning equipment and materials; large industrial vehicles.
  • Working conditions:

    outside work, extreme temperatures, noisy conditions, shift work, flexible schedules, on-call hours, 24/7 availability.
  • Physical effort required: heavy lifting (up to 80 lbs.), working with large machinery, working in confined spaces and at various heights.
  • Travel required:

    regular overnight travel will be required for this position.
  • May periodically use computers for training purposes.
Qualifications:
  • Able to read and write; high school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to pass drug tests (pre-employment, random, and annual)
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and automobile insurance
  • Possess excellent work ethic
  • Safety conscious
  • Basic mechanical skills preferred
  • Ability to respond for assignments within one hour of dispatch
  • Must have telephone access and able to be always reached
  • Ability to physically control industrial hydro-blasting and vacuum equipment
  • Ability to carry industrial hoses (up to 80 lbs.) up and down multiple flights of stairs
  • Willing and able to enter confined spaces through a manway
  • Ability to work from various heights and in confined spaces
  • Must complete all pre- and post-training including safety, new hire, and regulatory
