Job DescriptionJoin our team as a Roofing Installer, where you will play a crucial role in the installation of commercial solar systems on pitched standing seam metal roofs. This position is tailored for individuals with strong roofing expertise who are comfortable working at heights and are experienced in navigating and installing on sloped metal roofing systems.
Responsibilities- Install mounting systems and solar racking on pitched standing seam metal roofs.
- Safely work at heights while maintaining strict adherence to fall protection and OSHA safety standards.
- Utilize hand and power tools to complete roof-mounted installations.
- Inspect roof conditions and identify potential installation challenges.
- Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and installation crews to ensure projects are completed on time and to quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
- Follow all safety protocols.
- 2+ years of roofing, solar installation, or commercial construction experience.
- Experience working on standing seam metal roofing systems.
- Comfortable working on pitched roofs and at elevated heights.
- Ability to read basic construction drawings and installation plans.
- Experience using fall protection equipment.
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance record.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous commercial solar installation experience.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience with metal roofing systems, roof penetrations, and flashing details.
- Mechanical aptitude and construction trade background.

WorkEnvironment
The work involves installing solar panels on pitched standing seam roofs, with a schedule of 40 hours per week, divided into either four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts. The work is primarily outdoors, which makes it weather dependent. Safety is a priority, and steel toe boots, hard hats, safety goggles, gloves, and high visibility vests are required.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Cumberland, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
