Role Overview

The Logistics and Warehouse Leader coordinates between internal manufacturing operations, Quality, and Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) to ensure reliable, on‑time flow of intermediates and drug product through the supply chain. The role maintains up‑to‑date delivery information, identifies gaps within the supply chain, and works end‑to‑end to improve process efficiency. Building strong relationships with suppliers and distributors is also a core responsibility.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure daily and weekly planned vs. actual measurements by tracking lot readiness from production to final release and shipment.
  • Represent Supply Chain in prioritization activities using lot status and risk knowledge.
  • Collaborate with customers within the value stream to interpret and research expedited requests.
  • Support product launches and line expansion as part of the value stream.
  • Work with suppliers and internal departments to identify and develop potential solutions.
  • Coordinate and oversee execution of the supply chain from strategy to commercial optimization.
  • Oversee GMP Warehouse setup and operations.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams.
  • Determine key supply chain/warehouse KPIs.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and implement timely solutions.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with vendors.
  • Oversee all site raw material inventory.
  • Perform scheduled cycle counts.
  • Confirm and mitigate material availability/shortages ahead of production impact.
  • Maintain finished goods logistics processes, keeping material master files within SAP.
  • Work with operations staff to ensure supply availability, reduce waste, and use storage space effectively.
  • Handle procurement, receiving, inventory management, and distribution of supplies and equipment.
  • Support Quality during new supplier identification, qualification, audits, and material introduction.
  • Support CMC activities for IND/BLA filings.
Education & Experience
  • MS/BS in Supply Chain, Logistics Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of supply chain, logistics, or warehouse leadership experience in a CBER/CDER regulated biotech or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Proficiency with FDA/EMEA/USP/EP regulated GMP requirements.
  • Experience setting up a logistics/warehousing management program.
  • Hands‑on experience with logistics management software (e.g., SAP, AP Modules, Tracelink, Bartender).

  • Physical Requirements
    • Must stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, climb and balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl a significant portion of time.
    • Must sit less than a third of the time.
    • Lift 10 lbs continuously and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
    • May need to climb safety ladders to retrieve material.
