We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchasing Manager with strong expertise in purchase order (PO) management to oversee and optimize our procurement operations. This role will be responsible for the end-to-end purchase order lifecycle, vendor management, cost control, and ensuring timely and accurate procurement of goods and services.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing high-volume purchase orders, implementing PO controls and systems, and driving process improvements across procurement functions.

• Oversee the full purchase order lifecycle from requisition to approval, issuance, receipt, and reconciliation
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper authorization of all purchase orders
• Monitor open POs, backorders, and delivery timelines to ensure on‑time fulfillment
• Resolve discrepancies related to pricing, quantities, invoices, and receiving
• Maintain accurate PO documentation and audit trails

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers
• Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships
• Evaluate supplier performance and manage corrective actions as needed
• Identify alternative vendors to reduce risk and improve cost efficiency

• Implement and maintain purchasing policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial guidelines
• Optimize ERP/MRP purchasing modules for efficiency and reporting
• Lead initiatives to automate and streamline PO workflows

• Monitor purchasing budgets and control spending
• Generate reports on PO status, spend analysis, and vendor performance
• Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate 3‑way matching (PO, receipt, invoice)
• Support audits related to purchasing and procurement activities

• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Inventory teams
• Provide training on purchase order procedures and best practices

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
• 5+ years of purchasing/procurement experience
• 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role
• Strong experience managing high-volume purchase orders
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
