Job Description & How to Apply Below

Established GC with a strong reputation for high-end residential and commercial construction across the Providence/Newport corridor. Family-operated, quality-first. Not a volume shop.

This hire steps directly into the MEPFP coordination scope on a 90-room luxury hotel — one of the firm's most significant active projects.

The Role

They need a Project Manager who can own MEPFP coordination end-to-end — not just understand it, but run it. Depending on start timing, entry point shifts:

  • Start now → you're in on descoping and trade buyout for MEP/FP subcontractors
  • Start late summer → you step into buyout, then drive submittals, procurement, and BIM coordination oversight in parallel (third-party firm handles model management and clash detection)

Either way, you're the gatekeeper — establishing the coordination structure, keeping trades accountable, and protecting the schedule.

What You'll Own
  • Descoping and buyout support for MEP/FP trade contracts
  • Subcontract scope development and execution
  • Submittal management — full workflow ownership, not just review
  • RFI coordination across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines
  • Procurement tracking tied to schedule milestones and field execution
  • BIM coordination oversight — gatekeeping the model process, coordinating with the third-party BIM manager, flagging conflicts early
  • Weekly MEP coordination meetings with subs and design team
  • SOV and requisition alignment
  • Owner, A/E, and internal team communication
What We're Looking For
  • 5–10 years of MEPFP PM or coordination experience, GC-side preferred
  • Track record on complex commercial projects — hospitality, mixed-use, or institutional a plus
  • Experience running buyout and descoping on systems-heavy work, not just supporting it
  • Working knowledge of BIM coordination tools and processes (Revit, Navisworks, or similar)
  • Strong submittal and RFI workflow management — someone who builds the process, not just follows it
  • Ability to hold subcontractor relationships and accountability at the same time
Compensation

Competitive, commensurate with experience. Flexibility for the right candidate.
