Responsibilities
  • Acts on the belief that 100 % of scholars can be successful in college and the world beyond

  • Cultivates the social and personal skills that will serve scholars in a complex world
  • Is results‑driven, with excellent planning and organizing skills, and a “do whatever it takes” attitude and work ethic
  • Engages meaningfully in school and network professional growth opportunities and enhances professional growth by giving and seeking assistance from other team members
  • Acts ethically and with integrity while following all school, network, and state policies
  • Engages families as partners in scholar success while recognizing and respecting differences in family backgrounds, structures, and cultures
  • Attends mandatory professional development sessions and family meet and greets
  • Rotate into various teaching and support positions within a designated school
  • Execute academically rigorous lesson plans and administer directives with fidelity and efficiency
  • Implement classroom management practices that are consistent with the culture of the school
  • Give and receive constructive feedback from teachers and administration to create a professional working atmosphere conducive to change and improvement
  • Collect progress monitoring data to support behavior intervention plans and academic interventions
  • Work with scholars in 1:1 and/or small group settings to support behavior and academic needs
  • Support the TLC Program with daily classroom management and routines (individualized support/crisis plans, behavior charts, token economy system, etc.)
  • Support scholars with transition‑related school activities (participating in enrichment, general education setting, lunch, recess, etc.)
  • Support the special education teacher with family communication as needed
  • Assist in the use of toilet facilities when necessary
  • Participate in TLC clinical team meetings when appropriate
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or 2‑year Associate’s degree (60 credits) required
  • Bilingual candidates preferred but not required
  • Commitment to working with a diverse student and staff population
