Cumberland Preschool Center, Cumberland, Rhode Island.

Position Type:
Part‑time, per diem.

Essential Functions:

The Child Outreach Screener will administer brief standardized, reliable, and valid instruments to children ages 3‑5 in their native language covering Vision, Hearing, Developmental Functioning, Speech & Language, and Health Questionnaire. The Screener will attend intensive training for two screening instruments and report directly to the Child Outreach Coordinator. Hours vary based on the number of screenings.

Duties:

• Efficiently administer selected screening instruments to children between 3 and 5 years old.
• Deal courteously and effectively with parents and children.
• Record screening results meticulously and accurately.
• Maintain appropriate records for each child.
• Conduct screenings in a confidential setting.
• Organize screening center per the Child Outreach Plan.
• Assist in soliciting public interest and support when necessary.
• Return completed screening instruments to the Child Outreach Coordinator.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Coordinator.

Job Requirements:

Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
