CDL A Driver - Heavy Touch - $1,700 per Week

Location: Cumberland, Rhode Island

Our client is seeking a CDL A Driver for a local, heavy-touch delivery position in Cumberland, RI. This role involves delivering dry and fresh/frozen products and requires full white-glove service, liftgate deliveries, and pallet breakdown.

• Guaranteed pay of $1,700 per week
• 40 hours per week
• Monday through Friday schedule, with deliveries potentially shifting to Tuesday through Saturday
• Start times between 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
• May require one or two layovers per week
• Hotel accommodations provided for layovers; tractor accommodations are not provided
• Temp-to-perm employment opportunity

• Route Type: Local
• Freight: Dry and fresh/frozen products, including pet food, supplies, treats, toys, and supplements
• Equipment: Tractor-trailers, box trucks, and reefer box trucks
• Handling: Full white-glove service, liftgate deliveries, pallet breakdown, electric pallet jack, and hand cart use
• Training: 60 hours of online computer training and in-field training before operating the truck

• Deliver products safely and on schedule to various locations
• Perform heavy-touch, liftgate, and full white-glove deliveries
• Break down pallets and handle freight using an electric pallet jack and hand cart
• Maintain professional service standards during customer deliveries
• Operate assigned equipment safely and responsibly
• Follow all applicable safety regulations and transportation requirements

• Valid CDL A license
• 0+ months of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
• Prior liftgate delivery experience
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
