Class Summary
This is a part-time position with a maximum of 1,508 hours per year and is not eligible for paid holidays, leave, or benefits.
Job DescriptionThis position will provide administrative support to four work groups within the Water Resources Department’s Business Services Division:
Finance, Customer Care, Safety Training and Security, and People and Engagement. This position will perform administrative duties such as copying, filing, faxing, typing standard documents, entering data, and preparing, sorting, and distributing mail.
- Assists with coordinating department activities, such as tracking work and change orders, relaying communications, researching information, and providing related support.
- Performs basic purchases as the division p‑card owner such as training courses, office supplies, and membership and license renewals.
- Maintains and tracks personnel performance evaluations.
- Assists with new employees onboarding and offboarding. This includes updating organizational charts and obtaining equipment for new employees.
- Assists in preparing, printing, and binding studies, reports, reviews, and/or other related documents.
- Assists in conducting research, analyzing findings, writing analyses, and developing recommendations.
- Serves as a liaison to other divisions and departments, prepares special reports, researches information, and maintains databases for several divisions or the department.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Job Requirements /Information
- This job is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule after an initial probationary period and individual approval.
$35.00 hourly, up to 29 hours per week (not to exceed 1,508 hours per year).
Minimum Qualifications- Four years of professional level administrative experience.
- Intermediate level Microsoft Excel ability required.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
- Generally accepted Governmental accounting principles, procedures, practices and guidelines
- Applicable laws, rules and regulations
