Project

Coordinator

The Project Coordinator serves as a critical link between project administration and project management, supporting the successful delivery of commercial electrical projects from planning through closeout. This role is responsible for coordinating project activities, maintaining project documentation, tracking schedules and budgets, and facilitating communication between field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and internal teams.

The Project Coordinator works closely with Project Managers and Operations leadership to ensure projects are progressing according to schedule, budget, and client expectations. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to proactively identify and resolve project challenges while maintaining SLL Services' commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Cumming, GA.

Tasks
  • Serves as the primary liaison between field technicians and internal teams, overseeing work order progress, material requirements, project status updates, and field support communications.
  • Monitor project schedules and proactively communicate upcoming deadlines, deliverables, and potential delays.
  • Coordinate material procurement activities and track deliveries to ensure project readiness.
  • Work directly with field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments to support project execution.
  • Assist Project Managers with budget tracking, cost reporting, invoicing, and project forecasting.
  • Participate in project meetings and communicate action items, project updates, and follow-up requirements.
  • Maintain project logs, reports, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support project billing processes and assist with collection of project-related financial documentation.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing requirements, and project closeout activities.
  • Identify and elevate project risks, scheduling conflicts, and operational issues to Project Managers.
  • Assist with manpower planning and resource coordination as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, safety standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Project Assistants regarding project processes and documentation standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience required;
    Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3–6 years of experience in construction project coordination, project administration, commercial electrical contracting, or related industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction and project management processes.
  • Working knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, project scheduling, and project closeout procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with field and office personnel.
  • Professional communication skills with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in commercial electrical construction.
  • Familiarity with project management and scheduling software.
  • Knowledge of project budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
  • Construction Management, Business Administration, or related degree.
  • Experience supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
