About the School

Saint John Bosco Academy is a private, hybrid Catholic school in Cumming, GA, built on the core principles of reason, religion, and kindness. The hybrid system allows a learning environment that blends the best of in‑class instruction and independent study, promoting the development of the whole student in academic, rhetorical, and spiritual enrichment.

The position is for a long‑term maternity substitute for eight weeks beginning in early March 2026. The candidate will teach one section of Latin I, one section of Latin II, and one section of Latin III on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 7:45 AM to 12:00 PM. Each section contains about 50 students with two adult teaching assistants to help with grading and classroom management. On Mondays and Wednesdays, students do not report to campus;

the candidate will be responsible for responding to student email inquiries.

• Teach Latin I, II, and III classes on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (7:45 AM – 12:00 PM).
• Manage assignments, grading, and classroom management with the support of two teaching assistants.
• Respond to student email inquiries on Mondays and Wednesdays.
• Prepare lesson plans, assessments, and handouts in advance.
