Part-Time Faculty Position In Economics
The Department of Economics and Finance at the University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a part-time faculty position in economics in the Mike Cottrell College of Business (MCCB). Please be advised that any offer of employment is contingent upon your eligibility to work in the United States. The university is aware of recent federal changes that may significantly increase the cost of filing H-1B visa petitions.
As a public institution, the university's ability to cover such costs is subject to budgetary constraints and state funding policies. The most likely teaching schedule for this position will be one section of Economics of Financial Literacy (ECON 1101) on the Cumming campus. Use of innovative teaching and learning techniques to provide high-quality learning experiences for our students is expected.
Master's degree in economics with at least 18 credit hours of graduate-level coursework in economics or a commensurate level of professional experience in such fields. A successful candidate will also demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to engage students in the learning environment.
