As a Photonics SW Core Engineer
, you will contribute to the design, development, and validation of the core software layers that control iPronics’ optical circuit switch. Your responsibilities will include:

• Participating in the design and development of core software layers controlling the optical circuit switch.
• Developing software tools to characterize and validate optical circuit switch behavior.
• Testing and analyzing software performance at the optical system level.
• Collaborating closely with other teams to understand and integrate subsystem controllers managed by the core software layer.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Physics, or a related field.

• Experience in the photonics field is valued (academic or professional).
• Junior to mid-level profiles are welcome.

• Familiarity with Git workflows.
• Experience in software testing practices.
• Experience working with optical lab equipment and software orchestration is a plus.

• Prior experience in integrated photonics.
• Familiarity with TDD / BDD frameworks and software design patterns.
• Git portfolio and/or open-source contributions.

• Strong team player with a continuous learning mindset.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Adaptable and proactive, with a problem-solving attitude.
