Telecom Experienced Structural EIT

Overview

Kimley-Horn' Cumming, GA team is seeking a Structural Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our growing Telecom team. Must be willing to travel. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

* Perform structural analysis and design for telecommunications, buildings, and rooftop structures

* Assist in preparing engineering calculations, reports, and construction drawings

* Support design tasks related to tower modifications, equipment upgrades, and reinforcement projects

* Utilize industry software such as RISA, tnx Tower, AutoCAD, or similar tools for modeling and drafting

* Must be willing to travel and conduct field inspections and site visits to evaluate existing structures and gather data

* Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, on-time designs

* Assist with development of construction plans, specifications, and supporting documentation

* Apply knowledge of codes, standards, and client requirements in design work

* Participate in internal training, mentorship, and professional development programs

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field

* Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required or ability to obtain within 12 months

* 1+ years of experience in structural engineering or related infrastructure

* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills

* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

* Willingness to perform field work/site visits
