Overview
Kimley-Horn’s Cumming, GA team is seeking a Structural Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our growing Telecom team. Must be willing to travel. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities- Perform structural analysis and design for telecommunications, buildings, and rooftop structures
- Assist in preparing engineering calculations, reports, and construction drawings
- Support design tasks related to tower modifications, equipment upgrades, and reinforcement projects
- Utilize industry software such as RISA, tnx Tower, AutoCAD, or similar tools for modeling and drafting
- Must be willing to travel and conduct field inspections and site visits to evaluate existing structures and gather data
- Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, on-time designs
- Assist with development of construction plans, specifications, and supporting documentation
- Apply knowledge of codes, standards, and client requirements in design work
- Participate in internal training, mentorship, and professional development programs
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required or ability to obtain within 12 months
- 1+ years of experience in structural engineering or related infrastructure
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to perform field work/site visits
