TRC Talent Solutions is partnering with a global leader in industrial automation known for its high-ownership culture and strong track record of scaling technical products into global market solutions. This role is part of a structured development pathway designed to transition experienced engineers into strategic Product Management leadership.
This position is a structured “Residency-to-Product Manager” program for experienced electrical or controls engineers seeking to transition from technical execution into product strategy and business ownership. The role begins with deep technical immersion in power supply systems and industrial components, then progressively shifts into product lifecycle ownership, including sourcing, roadmap development, pricing strategy, and cross-functional leadership.
Program StructureMonths 0–6: Product Engineer residency focused on mastering technical specifications and product foundations
Months 6–12: Hybrid engineering + product management responsibilities
Month 15+: Full ownership of assigned product line as Product Manager
Identify and evaluate global suppliers for power supplies and electronic circuit breakers (ECBs)
Define product roadmaps, launch strategies, branding, and pricing models
Manage supplier and manufacturer relationships to support scalable production
Serve as subject matter expert for cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, technical support)
Develop technical documentation, training materials, and internal enablement resources
Support product lifecycle management from concept through commercialization
Collaborate with engineering and commercial teams to ensure market competitiveness
Contribute to regulatory alignment and product compliance discussions (UL, NEC/NFPA standards)
7–15 years of experience in industrial automation, controls, or electrical engineering
Hands-on experience selecting and applying power components (e.g., Sola, Phoenix Contact, PULS, WAGO, Mean Well)
Strong understanding of electrical control systems and DC power distribution design
Familiarity with regulatory standards including UL 508A, NEC/NFPA 70, and UL2367
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and business teams
Demonstrated interest in product strategy, business operations, or financial decision-making
Ability to operate in a high-ownership, autonomous environment
