Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Mechatronics (Robotics) Engineer role based in Cumming, GA. The Mechatronics Engineer will design, develop, and integrate mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems for LiDAR-based and robotic solutions, ensuring reliable performance in industrial environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and reviewing technical schematics, selecting and integrating sensors and actuators, programming and troubleshooting control systems, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to support product development and deployment.
The role involves testing and validating prototypes, optimizing system performance, documenting engineering processes, and supporting installation, maintenance, and repair activities for deployed systems. The engineer will also collaborate with R&D teams to enhance existing platforms and contribute to new, innovative solutions aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Mechatronics, including system integration, automation, and control of electro-mechanical systems.
- Candidates should possess solid Electrical Engineering skills, focusing on circuit design, power systems, and electrical safety in industrial applications.
- Candidates should possess hands-on experience in Electronics and Electro-mechanics, including sensors, actuators, embedded systems, and motion control components.
- Candidates should possess practical Maintenance & Repair skills for diagnosing faults, performing corrective actions, and ensuring long-term reliability of Robotic and LiDAR systems.
- High School Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Robotics, or a related field.
- Experience with CAD tools, PLCs or microcontroller programming, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Modbus, Ethernet-based systems).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Comfort working in an on-site, lab and field environment, including occasional travel to customer or deployment locations.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and adapt to evolving project requirements.
