Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse
Provide safe and compassionate care throughout all stages of labor and delivery
Monitor maternal and fetal health, interpreting vital signs and responding promptly to complications
Administer medications and manage pain relief methods including epidurals
Support patients and families during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthetists, pediatricians, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with hospital policies
Respond swiftly and effectively to obstetric emergencies
Educate patients on postnatal care and breastfeeding support

Requirements of the Travel Nurse
Active Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) or Compact State License
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in a Labor and Delivery setting
