This position will be part of the xEV D rive Unit team for Electric Vehicle products and will be responsible for providing Supplier Quality support internally to the plant manufacturing teams for both New Product Introduction and Mass Production activity. The Supplier Quality Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that incoming materials and components from suppliers meet Astemo quality standards and requirements .
This role supports the Astemo production lines by conducting initial problem analysis and containment activity to minimize impact of any supplier issues to the production lines. This position offers opportunities to work with multiple types of manufacturing processes, a wide variety of departments and levels of management within the company , and suppliers both domestic and international. Essential functions of this job include:
Immediate line call response ( initial problem assessment, communication to appropriate SQ members, etc )
Lead containment activity for all supplier-related issues
Support metrology group in receiving inspections of parts (basic measurements, reports, etc)
