Pump Mechanic

The Pump Mechanic is on the 1st Shift and is responsible for assembly, disassembly, and reassembly of rotating type equipment, mainly horizontal and vertical pumps. The Pump Mechanic will operate required tools for the disassembly and assembly of rotating equipment and utilize various M&TE (micrometers, calipers, etc.) for the inspection of the equipment. You will also use an overhead crane in our shop.

• Diagnose, disassemble, repair, and rebuild large pumps of all types.
• Interpret blueprints and schematic drawings in order to determine work procedures and construct foundations for pump assembly and disassembly.
• Operate manual, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric tools.
• Utilize all M&TE (micrometers, calipers, etc.) for inspection.
• Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience as a pump mechanic or in a similar role performing disassembly, inspection, and assembly of large pumps and rotating equipment.

• Manual, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric tools used to operate machinery.
• Micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tooling.
• Fork trucks, overhead cranes.
