Reports ToExecutive Director / Medical Director
Schedule30 hours per week; part‑time with flexible hours
Compensation$65,000 annually
Position SummaryForsyth Community Clinic is seeking a compassionate and dedicated part‑time RN to support underserved populations at our community‑based free clinic. The RN will collaborate with volunteer and staff healthcare professionals to provide high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
Key Responsibilities- Organize and provide orientation and skills testing for clinical support staff, including nurses, phlebotomists, and medical assistants.
- Conduct patient triage, including vital signs, health history, and symptom assessment.
- Assist in the diagnosis and treatment of common acute and chronic conditions.
- Administer basic wound care as directed.
- Serve as the clinical liaison between patients and volunteer providers, ensuring lab results are reviewed, medication refills are provided, and any additional patient health‑related questions are addressed promptly.
- Educate patients on disease prevention, medication usage, and general wellness.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other clinic staff to coordinate care.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming clinic environment.
- Order supplies to support providers and staff with necessary tools based on scope of practice.
- Participate in clinic quality improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to nursing students or volunteers, as applicable.
- Current and unrestricted RN license in Georgia.
- Minimum of 6‑8 years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably community health or outpatient.
- CPR/BLS certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable working with diverse populations, including uninsured and underserved individuals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience with EHR systems preferred.
- Bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish/English) are a plus.
- Part‑time schedule with flexibility.
- Clinical environment; may require standing for extended periods.
- Potential exposure to infectious diseases; standard precautions are required.
