Oncology Registered Nurse

A specialized nursing opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with Oncology experience in the outpatient setting. This contract role is based in the Cumming, GA area and offers the chance to work in a busy medical oncology clinic serving high-acuity patients. The position includes administration of chemotherapy and some hematology treatments within an infusion center environment.

Schedule/Hours

• Monday through Friday
• 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Qualifications & Desired Experience

• Minimum of 2 years oncology nursing experience preferred
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Chemotherapy certification required
• Prior experience with chemo administration essential
• Ability to manage complex patients in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy infusions and hematology treatments to outpatients
• Monitor patient response to therapy and manage side effects accordingly
• Collaborate with oncologists and healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of treatments and nursing interventions
• Educate patients and families about treatment regimens and side effect management
