Job Overview
Immediate need for a talented Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical / Surgical (Inpatient Oncology). This is a 03+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Cumming, GA (Onsite).

Pay Range: $43/hr - $48/hr
Schedule: 12 hrs Day Shift (7am-7pm).
Hourly Pay Rate: $21/hr.
Per-Diem (Meals, Incidentals & Lodging): $996.80/week.
Weekly Gross: $1,752.80 (based on completion of 40 hours per week).
Consistent 12-hour day shifts with guaranteed 36 hours per week (weekly gross based on 40 hours as noted).
- Manage a diverse patient population with oncologic, medical, and surgical diagnoses.
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive care medications per established protocols.
- Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor for treatment side effects, and intervene promptly.
- Manage symptoms including pain, nausea, fatigue, and electrolyte imbalances.
- Coordinate with oncologists, pharmacists, social workers, and palliative care teams.
- Educate patients and families on cancer treatments, side effect management, and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR (Cerner or similar).
- Respond to changes in patient condition and elevate appropriately.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and oncology nursing standards.
- Must have skills:
Registered Nurse, RN, Medical Surgical, Oncology, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS. - Active RN License (GA or Compact State).
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications (required).
- NIHSS certification (required).
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience within medical/surgical or oncology specialty.
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (7am-7pm), schedule varies.
- No local candidates within 50 miles.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in chemotherapy administration and side effect management.
- Strong pain management and symptom control expertise.
- Excellent patient and family education abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, patient-first mindset with attention to detail.
