Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide high-quality nursing care to acute care inpatients in a Medical Surgical setting, ensuring patient safety and comfort during 12-hour shifts. Deliver evidence-based interventions and collaborate with the healthcare team to meet patient needs efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to any changes.
• Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and health management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate effective patient care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse license with current credentials.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years recent experience in Medical Surgical or equivalent specialty.
• Complete AHA BLS certification; NIHSS and ACLS certifications preferred.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and patient management skills.
• Ability to work 7pm-7am shifts in a fast-paced acute care environment.
