Position Summary
We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time Sales Associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. This role greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions. The associate works with a wide variety of products including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and general merchandise.
Compensation& Benefits
Hourly rate: $14.00 – $17.00 per hour. Employees earn commission based on productivity, with a potential 2%–8% incentive on gross profit. Additional benefits include:

- Best working hours: most stores open 9 AM – 6 PM; many closed on Sundays.

- Greets and interacts with all customers, developing rapport to recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
- Makes the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
- Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items per established policies and regulatory requirements.
- Answers incoming calls according to company standards.
- Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Successfully completes assigned training.
- Other related duties, as assigned.
- Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Ability to work with firearms and be firearms certified.
- May assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
- Minimum age: 18 years old.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team‑oriented.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic math calculations.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan InformationThe commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2%–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Applicants receive detailed information during the interview process.
