Concrete Finisher

Starting Pay: $23–$26 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time

We're seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher who takes pride in producing high-quality concrete work. In this role, you'll be responsible for placing, finishing, and ensuring the quality of concrete surfaces on a variety of construction projects. You'll work alongside a skilled construction team while leading laborers during concrete pours and ensuring every project is completed safely, accurately, and according to specifications.

• Place, level, and finish concrete for commercial and residential construction projects.
• Produce high-quality concrete finishes, including broom finishes, screed finishes, and other specified surface treatments.
• Supervise and direct laborers during concrete pours to ensure efficient workflow.
• Operate concrete finishing tools and equipment, including power trowels and hand tools.
• Monitor weather conditions and understand how heat and cold temperatures affect concrete placement, curing, and finishing.
• Verify proper grades, slopes, and elevations to meet project specifications.
• Ensure sidewalks, curbs, driveways, ADA‑compliant ramps, and other concrete surfaces meet required tolerances.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized job site.
• Work collaboratively with project supervisors and construction crews to complete projects on schedule.

• Has 2–3 years of experience placing and finishing concrete.
• Takes pride in producing clean, professional, and durable finished concrete surfaces.
• Demonstrates leadership by effectively directing laborers during concrete pours.
• Is dependable, motivated, and willing to take initiative.
• Maintains a positive attitude and treats coworkers, customers, and subcontractors with professionalism and respect.
• Is flexible, curious, and eager to continue learning and improving their craft.
• Works well independently and as part of a team.

• Minimum of 2–3 years of concrete finishing experience.
• Experience producing broom, screed, and other finished concrete surfaces.
• Experience supervising laborers during concrete placement.
• Understanding of how weather conditions impact concrete placement and curing.
• Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, and perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Candidates with the following experience will stand out:

• Experience operating power trowels and other concrete finishing equipment.
• Knowledge of concrete slump testing, concrete testing procedures, additives, curing methods, and specification requirements.
• Strong understanding of proper cross slopes, grades, and construction tolerances.
• Experience constructing sidewalks, ADA‑compliant ramps, curbs, driveways, and similar concrete structures.
• Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
