Job Description

The Logistics/Warehouse Lead supports the Warehouse/Logistics Manager in coordinating equipment, materials, and logistics for large-scale restoration and reconstruction projects. This is a hands-on, growth-oriented role that includes traveling to project sites, staging and transporting equipment, setting up generators and temporary power, and assisting with day-to-day warehouse operations. It is an excellent opportunity for someone with limited experience who is eager to learn logistics and warehouse operations under the direction of the Warehouse/Logistics Manager and take on increasing responsibility over time.

Primary

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Warehouse/Logistics Manager in planning and coordinating logistics for large projects.
  • Travel to project sites, locally and out of area, to support mobilization, setup, staging, and demobilization.
  • Load, transport, stage, and track equipment, generators, and materials to and from job sites.
  • Set up, fuel, and monitor generators and temporary power distribution at project sites.
  • Set up and break down equipment, staging areas, and site logistics for large-loss projects.
  • Receive, unload, inspect, sort, label, and organize inventory in the warehouse.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and equipment records.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, equipment, and company vehicles.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (training provided).
  • Perform routine checks on equipment, generators, and vehicles and report maintenance needs.
  • Assist with loading and unloading company vehicles and stocking supplies.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and company policies.
  • Learn logistics and warehouse processes under the direction of the Warehouse/Logistics Manager.
Position Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Entry-level role; limited experience required, but a strong willingness to learn is essential.
  • Interest in logistics, warehousing, equipment, or the trades.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude; comfort handling equipment and generators is a plus.
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts.
  • Valid driver's license, approved by our insurance company, required.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to project sites, including out-of-area and overnight travel.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Full-time position. Must be able to travel to project sites as needed, including out-of-area and overnight travel, and be available for emergency and after-hours response.
  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States and able to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Active, physically demanding role performed in warehouse, jobsite, and outdoor environments.
  • Regularly lifting 50 pounds independently and occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Repetitive pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying of objects, including overhead work.
  • Handling, positioning, and fueling generators and heavy equipment.
  • Walking and standing for long periods, as well as driving, sitting, and climbing ladders.
  • Working at ceiling heights and in tight spaces such as crawl spaces and attics.
  • Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Frequent exposure to fumes and airborne particles; occasional exposure to heat, cold, noxious odors, and other extreme conditions.
  • The noise level in the warehouse and at jobsites may be loud.
  • Required to occasionally wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment (PPE).

$22-$25 / hour, pending experience.
