About the Role

This position is employed by AL Homes Inc., a brand of AlphaX RE Capital. We are seeking a Construction Manager (Single-Family Homes) who will be responsible for managing the day-to-day construction of assigned single-family homes from site start through final completion and homeowner turnover. This role oversees field operations, coordinates subcontractors and trade partners, monitors construction schedules, and ensures each home is built safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with company quality standards, plans, and specifications.

The Construction Manager serves as the primary field representative for assigned homes, ensuring efficient construction execution while delivering exceptional customer experience.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on construction professional with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. The successful candidate is capable of managing multiple homes in different stages of construction while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, production schedules, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities Home Construction Management
  • Manage the construction of assigned single-family homes from groundbreaking through final completion and homeowner turnover.
  • Develop and maintain construction schedules to ensure homes are completed according to established production timelines.
  • Conduct regular jobsite inspections to verify work quality, construction progress, and compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate daily field activities and proactively resolve construction issues that may impact schedule, quality, or budget.
  • Ensure completed homes meet company quality standards and are ready for homeowner inspections and closing.
  • Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and trade partners throughout each phase of construction.
  • Monitor subcontractor workmanship, productivity, and compliance with project schedules and company standards.
  • Communicate construction priorities, schedule updates, and field requirements to trade partners.
  • Address field conflicts, scope questions, and construction deficiencies in a timely manner.
  • Foster positive working relationships with subcontractors while promoting accountability, quality, and teamwork.
Quality Assurance & Safety
  • Perform quality inspections throughout each stage of construction to ensure compliance with company standards, building codes, and approved plans.
  • Enforce OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and jobsite safety requirements.
  • Coordinate municipal inspections and ensure all required approvals are obtained before progressing to the next construction phase.
  • Prepare and complete punch lists, ensuring deficiencies are corrected prior to homeowner orientation and closing.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites that reflect the company's commitment to professionalism and quality.
Schedule, Budget & Project Coordination
  • Monitor construction progress and adjust schedules as necessary to maintain production goals and closing commitments.
  • Coordinate material deliveries with Purchasing to ensure products are available when needed.
  • Review field change requests and communicate cost or schedule impacts to appropriate stakeholders.
