Senior UX Writer, Apple Music

This role is part of the Product, Design & Marketing team on Apple Services, which includes a range of apps and services spanning productivity, entertainment, cloud, and commerce.

We're looking for a UX writer to design and shape experiences for Apple Music. You're a brilliant problem solver and an excellent communicator with a passion for language. You recognize how words shape the user experience not just through meaning, but also through their visual impact and emotional resonance. You’ll join a team of writers in pursuit of creating expressive, intuitive, and collaborative experiences that set new standards for the industry and connect people in meaningful ways.

The Writing arm of our Product, Design & Marketing team works across services and products, including ones that are currently available and ones that are just barely being imagined. As the UX Writer dedicated to Apple Music, your responsibilities will include:

• Writing end-to-end flows and other in-product copy across platforms
• Designing features alongside cross-functional partners
• Collaborating to define and execute the product roadmap
• Developing style and tonal guidance for features and LLM-generated content
• Leading discussions on naming, terminology, and messaging
• Presenting work to senior leaders and incorporating feedback

• 6+ years of professional UX writing experience
• Experience leveraging UX writing systems and familiarity with industry standards
• Experience writing in-product copy across platforms, including mobile, desktop, and web
• Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills, including information architecture
• Ability to advocate for users through thoughtful, intuitive language while also meeting business needs
• Enthusiasm for an interactive writing process, including writing from scratch, editing existing copy, and upholding language systems
• Strong prioritization skills with an ability to manage several projects simultaneously and dynamically reprioritize as needed
• Strong ability to present and defend writing choices in large forums, including executive reviews
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to negotiate feedback from multiple senior leaders
• Fluency with design tools like Sketch and working with functional specs and wireframes

• Passion for music and for Apple, its products, and its customers
• Experience writing for music streaming and an understanding of subscription-based services
• Experience creating structured training data for developing and evaluating large language models
• Strong sense of Apple’s design, human interface, and editorial standards
• Understanding of writing optimized for accessibility and localization

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $184,700 and $277,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
