Monday-Friday (8am-4:30pm)
DescriptionReceives callers at community/office, determines nature of business, and directs callers to destination.
Responsibilities- Receptionist
- Provide quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co‑workers and vendors to ensure satisfaction.
- Direct callers to destination and record name, time of call, nature of business, and person called upon.
- Take messages accurately, including correct spelling of names and phone numbers.
- Operate multi‑line telephone console to receive incoming messages.
- Greet incoming visitors, screen visitors in lobby if unfamiliar.
- Operate telephone headsets, calculator, fax machine, postal machine, and copy machine.
- Cash checks, sell stamps, bill residents for meal charges by entering data on computer system.
- Sell meal tickets to employees and issue visitor passes when required.
- Make guest room reservations.
- Monitor fire alarms, call 911 if applicable and direct emergency personnel.
- Keep track of keys for residents, employees and vendors.
- Perform variety of clerical duties, including projects for the Executive Director, Marketing, Accounting and Activity Departments.
- Report safety hazards and/or accidents to supervisor; attend mandatory in‑service meetings.
- Comply with department and facilities policies and procedures.
- Use safe work habits to prevent injuries to self, residents, visitors or other employees.
Education
- High School diploma or GED.
