Apple’s Regulatory and compliance team is looking for a North American Regulatory Compliance expert for Wireless Inductive charging (WPT) to drive various wireless project certification end to end, from development to launch, worldwide with focus in US and Canada.
Candidate will work with Apple’s international teams and regional organizations to ensure that our product meets worldwide wireless compliance standards and to ensure the critical deployment of new products and technologies. This role is vital, internally driving Wireless (hardware engineering), supporting policy, and changing standardization.
Responsibilities- Responsible for supporting the product cycle from start to finish from Regulatory Compliance (EMC, Intentional Radiated emissions, Wireless Power Transfer other wireless product like WiFi/BT NFC etc) certification perspective.
- Determine relevant compliance requirements for Wireless products, technologies, and spectrum.
- Collaborate with internal hardware and software engineering teams
- Work with external agencies and government regulatory authorities to verify testing requirements and support product test schedules.
- Become active member of CISPR 32 and WPC development group and contribute towards new standards review and provide feedback
- Responsible for creating and writing various types of technical documentation, including preparing official documentation for government or regulatory bodies (FCC/CE)
- Stay current on any changes to global agency approvals and testing procedures.
- Master's Degree in Engineering or 5 years of equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of RF working experience with main focus on Wireless Power transfer (WPT) compliance and standards.
- Experience managing, organizing, and driving deliverables of complex projects with tight timelines.
- Good RF background across multiple wireless technologies like WIFI(6e)/BT/Cellular with main focus on Wireless Power Transfer (WPT)
- Knowledge of US Regulatory requirements and standards with experience in testing WPT/RF/EMC/EMI compliance.
- Experience with standard RF test lab equipment including spectrum analyzer, signal generator and processes
- Good understanding of RF systems, schematics, and board layouts.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and documentation skills
- RF simulation and automating daily work are an added advantage but are not mandatory
- Experience with scripting/programming language like python, C, C++ is a plus

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
