Optical Sensing HW - Electrical Engineer

* The Sensing Systems team integrates optical, capacitive, MEMS, and magnetic sensors across a variety of Apple products such as the Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, and more. The Optical Sensing team is looking for electrical engineers with analog, board-level design experience and is a hard-working go-getter.

Experience with photodiode front-ends, LED/VCSEL drivers, and basic optics is a plus.

** Description*
* You will design, develop, and launch next-generation optical sensing technologies. You will analyze data to draw conclusions, enhance product design and manufacturability, and drive failure analysis. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams - including Optical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Process Engineers, Reliability Engineers, Test Engineers, and Software Engineers-to deliver state-of-the-art sensing.

** Minimum Qualifications*
* + Strong electrical engineering background in analog and mixed-signal system-level circuit design, sensor design, modeling, and analog circuit simulations experiences

+ Hands-on experience with board-level circuit design and lab equipment (microscopes, detector, light sources etc)

+ Scripting experience for data analysis and automation

+ Business travel up to 10% as required

+ BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant proven industry experience

** Preferred Qualifications*
* + Optical Sensor and systems integration experience preferred

+ Experience in ANSYS, SPICE, or similar simulation and modeling tools

+ Experience supporting volume manufacturing, including test design, failure analysis, and statistical

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills and solid collaboration and leadership skills

+ Strong teamwork abilities and self-motivation to tackle technical challenges

+ MS or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optics
