The Apps team is in search of a high-energy and ambitious Engineering Project Manager. Inthis role, you will be part of a team responsible for delivering new features for some of Apple’smost popular applications. We are looking for someone who takes ownership and is committed to shipping awesome products. Our team combines strong technical skills, product vision, anda love of all things project management to bring together the pieces needed to an extraordinaryuser experience with Apple software products.
DescriptionAs a member of our dynamic group, you will have the rare and rewarding opportunity to shipupcoming products that will delight and inspire millions of Apple’s customers every day. Thisrole requires balancing a wide variety of deliverables that will rely on your talent for socialengineering, managing priorities, and communicating progress and risks effectively.
Responsibilities- Work with Software Engineering, Design, QA, and cross-functionally with various organizations to manage and track deliverables.
- Schedule and facilitate meetings, including taking notes.
- Be hands-on in product details and requirements, providing strategic guidance to teams building innovative new features.
- Foresee and manage risks and dependencies, and work to ensure that roadblocks are removed and all open issues are resolved.
- Build relationships to achieve results.
- 5+ years of Engineering Project Management expertise, delivering software and services through a full project lifecycle.
- Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related subject area, or the equivalent industry experience.
- Experience managing native app development and/or framework integration into applications.
- Enjoy technical challenges and have the ability to work with various teams, building and managing relationships to navigate delivery dependencies.
- Versatile problem solver, equipped with a strong analytical approach to various challenges in complex environments. Adept at creative and critical thinking, able to deconstruct problems, resolve conflicts and lead the teams to solutions.
- Self starter with a strong sense of personal responsibility and a technical orientation. Excellent interpersonal skills, especially the ability to filter and distill meaningful information to the right audience.
- You are someone who appreciates and enjoys the technical challenges that can exist in delivering software.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related subject area, or the equivalent industry experience.
- Previous experience leading a team.
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $172,100 and $305,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
