We are seeking experienced Thermal/Mechanical Engineers to build the next generation of our cloud platforms.

As a member of the Hardware Engineering Mechanical/Thermal/Robotics (MTR) team you’ll be responsible for the design of our server platforms. You’ll provide leadership in the application of new cooling and mechanical technologies to large scale server deployments in a continuous effort to deliver a world‑class customer experience.

• Perform mechanical and thermal design and development for complex electronic systems
• Design and validate systems and subsystems to meet program objectives
• Participate in the cross‑discipline design process working with other HW and SW team members to develop optimized integrated solutions
• Conduct failure analysis and solution validation for product development and fleet systems
• Manage interaction with overseas resources
• Provide mentorship and technical reviews to a team of mechanical/thermal design engineers

A day in the life includes using engineering tools (CAD and thermal simulation), data analysis, meetings (internal and vendors), test report reviews, design reviews, and communicating via tickets or emails to make design and project decisions.

• Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures
• Working knowledge of mechanical and thermal systems

• Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
• Experience with the project management of technical projects
• Experience in systems integration of complex server products

The base salary range for this position varies by location.
USA, CA, Cupertino – $ – $ USD annually
USA, WA, Seattle – $ – $ USD annually
