Cloud Hardware Engineer, NPD

• Collaborate with vendors/manufacturers to develop and evaluate new fiber optic assemblies and create implementation plans for rack‑to‑rack connectivity.
• Define and update requirements for structured cabling systems (fiber, copper, cable trays/duct banks) for network layers at hyperscale data centers.
• Develop standards and installation guidelines for physical network/cabling deployments and structured cabling systems.
• Assist with troubleshooting problem areas in existing or new network architecture and systems development initiatives, proposing and delivering projects with significant business and/or customer impact.
• Partner with fiber vendors and contractors; perform quality control and commissioning of fiber bundles and structured cabling systems.
• Perform mitigation analysis and site inspections to validate as-built conditions, ensuring compliance with design and operational requirements.
• Monitor network/system/link quality and build mechanisms to remediate large-scale events and improve link health.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fiber connectivity and fiber plant design.
• Maintain documentation, drawings, and asset records for physical fiber network components across global sites.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of working experience with fiber optic components, cabling, and interconnect products, technologies, and standards.

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience working with fiber, connector, or other ICT components in a lab or product qualification setting.
