DescriptionA proactive electrical engineering leader with a passion for solving complex technical challenges and building high‑performing engineering teams. You have a proven ability to influence cross‑functional teams and decisions through complex technical issues. You will apply your expertise in system, analog, and digital circuit design to design critical health sensors and evaluate coexistence, sensor performance, and product integration. You’ll be engaged in the entire sensor development lifecycle, from concept to mass production.
You are a strategic thinker with a strong foundation of analog circuit fundamentals and a proven track record of taking electrical designs into mass production. You are a collaborative teammate with excellent interpersonal skills and a drive to push the boundaries of innovation. You have experience representing your team’s work in high‑stakes forums, shaping technical strategy through persuasive communication, and mentoring others in presenting their work effectively.
- Lead the Health Sensing electrical engineering team in the design, development, and integration of health sensors for Apple products from concept to high‑volume mass production.
- Navigate complex cross‑functional dependencies, building strong relationships with materials, silicon, algorithms, firmware, mechanical design, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless product integration.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in assessing technical risk, solving technical issues, and defining strategy and convergence plans to meet product requirements.
- Present technical strategy and program issue status to senior leadership on a regular basis.
- Mentor and lead a team of engineers, guiding them through the process of schematic capture, PCB design, characterization, validation, and failure analysis.
- Lead the electrical engineering team in performing coexistence, signal and power integrity, and electrical integration assessments.
- Strong EE analog fundamentals with demonstrated experience in all phases of circuit design and development.
- Leadership experience managing engineers and cross‑functional teams, with proven ability to present complex technical topics clearly and concisely, influencing decisions and securing buy‑in from senior leadership.
- Experience creating engineering design, requirement, and specification documents.
- BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience.
- 5+ years of lead or management experience.
- Experience with development process from early architecture through mass production.
- Experience with health technology or sensing system development.
- Proficiency with test equipment (oscilloscope, meters, etc.) and circuit simulation (SPICE).
- Proficiency in MATLAB and Python scripting tools.
- Experience with statistical analysis of production data (JMP, Tableau).
- Experience in FEA, simulation, and modeling tools (Comsol, ANSYS, Maxwell).
- Experience with high‑volume mass production.
- BS in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
Base pay for this role is between $206,200 and $356,400, and your pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to base pay, you may receive optional bonuses or commission payments and relocation support.
