Inductive Engineering Program Manager

Imagine what you could do here. At Apple, new insights have a way of becoming extraordinary products, services, and customer experiences very quickly. Bring passion and dedication to your job, and there's no telling what you could accomplish! Dynamic, resourceful people and inspiring, innovative technologies are the norm here. The people who work here have reinvented entire industries with all Apple hardware products.

The same passion for innovation that goes into our products also applies to our practices, strengthening our dedication to leave the world better than we found it. Do you want to join us in these pursuits? Join us to help deliver the next groundbreaking Apple products. In this critical role, you will play a key part in executing the wireless charging roadmap for the next generations of Apple's Inductive Power Technologies, providing customers with the best wireless charging experience in the industry across products such as Mag Safe, iPhone, iPad, and Watch.

This is a close-knit, team-oriented environment where you'll lead the development and integration of advanced power delivery systems and help influence industry standards.

As the engineering program manager you will oversee and coordinate specifying, developing, characterizing, integrating, and validating wireless charging subsystems inside of products. The Inductive Tech EPM team operates in a collaborative environment with other cross-functional teams such as systems architecture, thermals, firmware, and operations teams. In this capacity, you will serve as the primary representative and voice of the wireless charging program, and along with the engineering manager be its primary champion across the organization.

Engineering excellence, technical curiosity, proactiveness, innovation, and thoroughness are expected and encouraged. Working at the intersection of engineering and program execution, the team is empowered to drive innovative solutions and deliver best-in-class technologies and user experiences. Join us in crafting the next generation of solutions— the wireless charging features you help ship will reach hundreds of millions of customers and set the bar for the entire industry.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and align cross-functional teams — spanning electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, system integration, thermal, and battery — to ensure tight coordination and deliver best-in-class charging solutions.
  • Coordinate and work closely with firmware and software teams that enable charging control and algorithms for the wireless charging subsystem.
  • Lead executive (VP level) communication/presentations and drive the decision-making process.
  • Define the program plan/schedule and manage program execution to integrate the wireless subsystem into Apple products such as iPhone, iPad, and Watch. Efficiently and effectively react to unexpected changes in the plan.
  • Work with suppliers to manage and support engineering development builds leading to mass production, tracking yields, addressing issues, and facilitating communication.
  • Work with internal and system teams to keep track of engineering activities such as performance validation, yield optimization, and failure analysis coordination while proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Support internal proof-of-concept hardware and software development for new application investigations.
  • Work with engineering management to define the wireless charging roadmap.
  • Foster alignment across teams—navigating technical tradeoffs and interpersonal dynamics to keep programs moving forward.
  • Push for excellence and continuous improvement: offer best practices, implement process changes, incorporate AI workflows, and seek out efficiencies to make our design methodology better.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS in STEM field (e.g. EE, ME, Physics, etc.) and +3 years relevant experience
  • Product development, engineering, or program management experience shipping consumer electronic systems, semiconductor, or other electronic hardware
  • Curiosity about and familiarity with AI tools—with interest to apply them to improve engineering and program workflows
